Organic fertilizers are derived from natural sources such as plant and animal matter, compost, and manure. They are renewable resources and can be replenished over time. Moreover, they are biodegradable, meaning they break down naturally into the soil without leaving harmful residues.

Organic fertilizers typically have lower energy requirements and a smaller carbon footprint during production compared to synthetic fertilizers, which often require energy-intensive processes for their creation.
